New rules at the Observatory because of the Corona pandemic

The observatory is still open and offers accommodation and guided talks.

However, to protect wardens and guests:

Wardens use the northern part of the observatory; the northern entrance and room 1a and 1b and the lounge outside of those rooms. No entry for staying guests.

Guests use the southern part of the observatory; the southern entrance and pingisrummet and rooms 3 and 4 (in the eastern part of pingisrummet) and as a last alternative room 2, in the middle of the building, just inside the northern entrance. The hall outside room 2 is considered a "quiet area" and guests should avoid being there, to minimize the contact between wardens and guest.

Guests staying in room 2, still use the southern entrance, i.e have to walk through the corridor past the kitchen and through pingisrummet, to go outside.

Kitchen, bathroom and corridor shared, but wardens and guests must avoid meeting; if warden is in kitchen or corridor, guests do not enter.

Guests use as much as possible kitchen arrangements in pingisrummet (fridge, microwave etc).

Maximum 2 guests sleeping in each room and 2 outside in pingisrummet (maximum 8). More guests could however use a room, if they are a family or another type of group, that know each other well.

Guided talks are given outside, but with the same content.

No cash payment at the observatory.

Wash your hands and keep a distance to all.
